Writing is my therapy for tough emotions. Raw instincts are much closer to truth than I want to accept. This is my means of rounding-off sharp edges as I settle them in a good place.
Let what happened before prepare you for what comes next. Some find strength in your weakness and they use that opportunity to try to “level” themselves at your expense. I’ve sensed the vulturelike circling as clearly as if looking overhead and seeing it; and it’s every bit as heartbreaking as implied. Some of our natures are to keep giving others benefit of doubt when that’s the last thing they deserve and even when we know it’s last thing we should be doing to ourselves.
